In the today’s world of interior design, talent has surfaced in a variety of ways. While some have claimed their name to fame through word of mouth, others have been recognized through their standout Instagram feeds and other various visual channels. And as much as this more organic method of discovery has genuinely allowed us all to find great talent, the pool of designers can still be difficult to comb through to find which styes and creatives we resonate with. So in case you’re looking for some creatives to newly add onto your radar, I’ve rounded up my favorite designers that I’ve discovered organically through Instagram and have continuously returned to for fresh inspiration.
And when it’s actually time to get serious when finding a designer, The Expert is a great platform and resource to use for when when you’re seriously looking to source talent. But until I have my own space to transform, I’ll just continue to live vicariously through the feeds of these designers I’ve been loving lately.
Carley Page Summers
When I first came across Carley’s Instagram page, @carlaypage and immersed myself into her portfolio of transformed spaces, I couldn’t help thinking that ‘this is what a home’s supposed to feel like’. Her interior styling and photography paint such an ethereal yet grounding picture of what, I believe, a home is supposed to feel like — a tucked away sanctuary that’s rich with thoughtful decor pieces with a genuine sense of welcoming. The spaces she’s styled and photographed are a mix of cottage core and bohemian with a modern twist. Each space carries with it qualities of warmth, familiarity, charm, and an aged refinement that’ll make anyone crave again and again.

Athena Calderone
This powerhouse creator thrives as an interior designer, cook, entertaining expert, and author. From styling her own 1900’s brownstone in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, she’s brought to life a style all her own that intertwines a modern style, and earthy elements with other-wordly, vintage finds. Her talent for discovering hidden, antique pieces and bringing them back to life in a contemporary light has captivated all who’s set eyes on her work.
She’s the multi-hyphenate that, I myself, would personally love to have as a close friend to attend her intimate dinners or to merely show up unannounced to swoon over her awe-inspiring home. It’s because of her unique and ever-evolving aesthetic that I’ll continue to visit her Instagram feed, @eyeswoon, to see what newly crafted ideas she’s recently conjured up.

Amber Lewis
For the home dwellers that are all about feeling laid-back, natural, and with a touch of California rustic living, Amber Lewis has made quite the name for herself who now owns her own design studio and home essentials shop, Shoppe Amber Interiors. While her style does lean more on the neutral side, she’s known to expertly include contrasting darks and natural hues that refreshingly imitate the great outdoors. And just like with nature, there’s plenty of earthy elements of texture included in her spaces that makes one feel a part of the lush, overgrown, and almost forgotten landscapes and gardens just outside.
Her personal Instagram, @amberineriors as well as her studio’s, @shoppeamberinteriors continue to serve up the most earthy and neutral content which I’ll never grow tired of visiting time and time again.
